I thought this video of a Judo Chop drill might be of interest. As you observe the drill, ask yourself, "How easy would it be to block these chops?" & "If someone did block the backhand chop, what would I do to counter?"
This drill reminds me a little of an Arnis stick drill designed to keep an opponent on the defensive by raining blows so fast that he cannot mount a counterattack. If that's the tactical purpose, then after you master the basic pattern, you'd need your partner to do what the orc would: block & grab.
Then you'd know just what you need to do to keep him from interrupting your momentum.
