A Film for the Warrior's Heart

This is a feature-length "fanfilm" prequel to "The Lord of the Rings". Would that the "professional" trilogy were this good.

The battle scenes are very well done. The theme of self sacrifice for a cause occupies a major place in this film. Also, look for the strategic elements (and learn).

I really hope for some comments on this one.

Interesting!
I was very pleasantly surprised at the acting quality.
If only Christians were as committed to the cause of Christ as those people were to the survival of the DĂșnedain!
That was the main thing I got from the film.

I wonder how accurate the film was compared to Tolkien's prequel (the Simarillion), but it was still good.

Actually, my daughter informs me that most of the supporting material for the story came from the appendix to the LOTR triology.

I'm glad you liked it, though.

I see parallels between the Rangers' protection of the Dunedain & the Christian Martialists' calling to protect God's flock.

I also saw some strategic instructional value to the film -- forming small communities that seek safety in remote areas. Sounds good to me.
