The Stuff Dreams Are Made Of

This ad from comes from 1905. I would like to republish this book at some time.
This 1904 ad apparently attempts to capitalize on the Russo-Japanese war.

1920: Actually, not a bad course. It contained drills to develop sensitivity & power,
and it demystified the art to better fit the mindset of Americans.

1921 ad emphasizes Scottish-born Smith's US army service.
It also changes the spelling from Jiu Jitsu to Ju Jitsu
1922: Streamlined ad has reduced learning time from one evening to one
hour. Also, free introductory lesson has disappeared.

This ad appeared in the 1930's and continued into World War II and after.

This 1935 ad appeared in Popular Mechanics
