The Christian Martialist is primarily a defender of the faithful (one who in time of crisis puts himself between God's flock and danger). This blog is dedicated to those who voluntarily shoulder this burden.

Fight Like Granny
"You fight like your granny," is probably not usually considered a compliment. Unless your granny fights like the ol' gal in this video clip:
Remember, the fight is 95% mindset & 5% technique.
"The training is nothing! Will is everything!"
That comforts me, because I don't really have any official combat training (although I recently found an MMA school near me that I want so badly to try out, I just can't for the time being). If it's 95% mindset, I'm well on my way.

P.S. Sorry I haven't commented lately. How have you been?

Finding the right style/school/instructor combo can be difficult. Have you considered training with a like-minded friend?
ReplyDeleteIf you have a potential training partner, I'd recommend you both read my series, "The Best Self Defense System":

Then you might want to follow up by reading the "Christian Martialism on a Budget" series:

Like-minded friend...in California? I...don't think so. The only guys with any guts don't share my worldview really, at least those I know.
